This is one of many Alaskan fisherman I carved starting in 2019. I grew up in Alaska and my dad was a fisherman, there is a cozy nostalgia invoked inside of me when I see those safety orange overalls, and get a whiff of fish stink.

I’m not one for brand placement, but the hoodie is recognizable to locals specifically. This is also the first carving I used walnut oil on. I started to move away from linseed oil based on its yellowing quality.
